PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of miniaturization irrespective of being capable of recording and/or reproducing high density information by means of high NA, a drive device for an optical information recording medium, and to provide an objective lens system and a condensing lens therefor.SOLUTION: The system includes a first lens group L1 that has a negative paraxial power P(mm) and is arranged from an object, and a second lens group that has a positive paraxial power P(mm) for condensing a light flux emitted from the first lens group L1 onto an information recording surface of the information recording medium, and an objective lens OBJ satisfies (1) equation: 0.02|P/P|0.30.
