PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a truncated life/strength, a test number, and a test stop reference and interpret a test result in a truncated test, perform these calculations without using random number, reduce random error, and compute them in a short time.;SOLUTION: The method includes an input step (P1) inputting information to a computer and a reply arithmetic processing step (P2). In a case of designing a truncated life/strength, the following equation is used in the reply arithmetic processing step (P2): A_i=G^-1(B^-1(R, i, n-i+1)); in which A_i: targeted truncated life or truncated strength, G^-1(x): inverse function of cumulative distribution function of life or strength, B^-1(R, i, n-i+1): inverse function of cumulative distribution function of beta distribution function, R: reliability, and n: test number.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
