PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a technology to automatically detect presence of an event that may affect stock price and to present concrete names of companies whose stock price may be affected by the event. PSOLUTION: A stock price affecting company detection system 10 includes: an event information storage part 38 which stores event information; an ontology storage part 42 which registers the attribute information of each company; an estimation rule storage part 40 which stores estimation rules for defining whether effects on the stock price is positive or negative for every combination pattern of the event attribution and the attribute of the company whose stock price may be affected by the event; and a stock price affecting company extraction part 26 which applies the estimation rules to the respective event information, specifies the attribute of the company whose stock price may be affected by the event, refers to the ontology storage part 42, extracts the companies including the attribute, creates a list of stock price affecting companies, and outputs the list to a web server 44.
