PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron cleaner device capable of efficiently removing solder chip composed of protective solder and soldering flux from the tip of a soldering iron, and a soldering iron cleaner method.;SOLUTION: The soldering iron cleaner device comprises: a casing 10 having a soldering iron tip insertion hole; a scraper 40 which holds a soldering iron tip inserted in the casing to remove solder chip deposited on the soldering iron tip; a scraper driving mechanism for driving the scraper; an air deriving opening part 131 for setting a pressure in the casing to be negative with respect to atmospheric pressure; and a protective solder removing means for removing molten protective solder at the soldering iron tip by a negative pressure generated by evacuation. The scraper driving means drives the scraper by setting the pressure in the casing to be negative with respect to the atmospheric pressure by evacuation in the casing. The scraper scrapes solder chip deposited on the soldering iron tip by drawing the soldering iron from the soldering iron tip insertion hole in a state that the casing is evacuated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
