PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for precisely monitoring oil leakage using a simple means. PSOLUTION: An oil suction sheet 2 is disposed around a lower portion of equipment 1 to which oil is sealed; a distance measuring device 3 is arranged at the upper portion of the oil suction sheet to measure distance to an upper surface of the oil suction sheet; measurement value of the distance is compared with a preset threshold; and a warning is issued by determining that oil has leaked, when the measurement value is reduced as compared with the threshold.
