PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information detecting method, a biological information detecting device, and a human body-worn device for accurately measuring biological signals such as a pulse wave without generating individual differences by a tone of a skin color.;SOLUTION: The density of melanin pigments contained inside a skin H of an observed person is measured by applying observation light of a predetermined amount of luminescence to the skin H by a light emitting device 6a and by receiving the observation light scattered in the skin H by a light receiving element 9a which controls light receiving sensitivity. In addition, at least one of the amount of luminescence of the light emitting device 6a and the light receiving sensitivity of the light receiving element 9a is controlled by a CPU 37 in accordance with the measured density of the melanin pigments, and biological information corresponding to the density of the melanin pigments is detected based on a control result which has been controlled.
