PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic impedance measuring apparatus capable of quickly measuring acoustic impedance of a subject.;SOLUTION: This acoustic impedance measuring apparatus 1 is so formed that an ultrasonic vibrator 13 is disposed facing the subject 16 via an ultrasonic transmission body 12, and ultrasonic waves are multidimensionally reflected on the surface of the subject 16 by reflection on a vibration surface 14 of the ultrasonic vibrator 13. This apparatus detects the intensity of the signals of a primary reflected wave and a secondary reflected wave out of the reflected waves. This apparatus calculates the acoustic impedance of the subject 16 based on the signal intensity of each reflected wave, a characteristic acoustic impedance of the ultrasonic transmission body 12 and the characteristic acoustic impedance of the ultrasonic vibrator 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
