PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing invasion of nematodes into plants and/or controlling diseases caused by nematode invasion, so as to prevent damages of useful plants by the nematodes in a labor-saving manner using a low drug dose without killing the plant-parasitic soil nematodes.;SOLUTION: The method for preventing invasion of nematodes into plants and for controlling damages such as gall or symptom formation by nematodes comprises applying an aqueous solution preparation or a solid preparation containing chlorantraniliprole, a known compound, to soil or directly to the useful plants. The chlorantraniliprole dose is adjusted to 1-300 g, particularly 1-150 g, preferably 5-30 g per 10 ares of soil for growing the useful plants but lower than a dose required for killing the plant-parasitic soil nematodes in the soil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
