METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING MELANONYCHIA STRIATA AND VISUALIZING DEGREE OF MALIGNANCY THEREOF

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visualization method for non-invasively and objectively discriminating whether melanonychia striata is benign or malignant and visually expressing the degree of malignancy. PSOLUTION: The RGB parameter values of each pixel within the digital color image of the melanonychia striata are considered as a three-dimensional vector in which those three are components, a latitudinal variable and a longitudinal variable in RGB space of the three-dimensional vector are obtained, a discrimination index is obtained from the distribution of points stipulated on the basis of the latitudinal variable and the longitudinal variable, the discrimination index is distinguished by a threshold, and whether the melanonychia striata is benign or malignant is discriminated.
