PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ring-bound booklet which is bounded by an alternative system, if it is possible for the alternative system to execute ring-binding for this system, when the number of output papers exceeds the allowable number of sheets which can be bounded by a ring member.;SOLUTION: In the network bookbinding system 1, a plurality of image forming systems 100 and 200 are communicatably connected to a network 300, wherein in the case of ring-binding in the first image forming system 100, when it is determined that the number of image-formed sheets exceeds the maximum number of bindable sheets in the first image forming system, it is confirmed whether the binding processing of binding the number of sheets exceeding the maximum number of bindable sheets can be executed by the second image forming system 200, and when the second image forming system 200 which can execute the processing exists, punching processing is applied to the sheets of the first copy in the first image forming system 100, to discharge the punched sheets, and the second image forming system 200 alternatively executes the image forming processing and ring-binding bookbinding processing of the second and subsequent copies.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
