A conditioned autophagy-deficient animal and a disease model animal. Namely, a knockout animal in which the function of a gene causative of autophagy is entirely or partly impaired depending on Cre recombinase; a disease model animal comprising a knockout animal in which the function of a gene causative of autophagy is entirely or partly impaired; a method of constructing a disease model animal characterized by comprising entirely or partly impairing the function of a gene causative of autophagy in an experimental animal; and a method of screening a remedy for the above diseases, etc. by using the disease model animal.
