PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-irradiation method and light-irradiation apparatus for agricultural products, fishery products or livestock products giving new added value in addition to increase in amino acid content.;SOLUTION: The agricultural products, etc., are irradiated with blue visible light (central wavelength region: 450 nm) to increase contents of antioxidative substances such as polyphenols, physiologically active substances such as GABA or nucleotides such as inosinic acid, guanylic acid, etc., other than amino acids.
