This invention designates that production method of the ceramic sintered body where the corrosion resistance for the melted metal is improved and the ceramic sintered body which can be applied to the production, and the exothermic body for metal evaporation which can achieve long-lived conversion are offered as topic. As for this invention, the boron nitride, two conversion titanium, containing the calcium compound and nitriding titanium, the relative density which becomes is the ceramic sintered body of 92% or more, 0.05 - 0.8 mass %, it is derived from nitriding titanium the calcium compound as CaO conversion (200) 0.06 - 0.15 it regards the ceramic sintered body which features that is the peak intensity due to the x-ray diffraction of the surface, vis-a-vis (002) the peak intensity of the aspect of BN. In addition, it discloses also the production method of the ceramic sintered body which can be applied to the production of the said ceramic sintered body, and the exothermic body for metal evaporation which consists of the said ceramic sintered body.
