PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a boron carbide sintered body that shows excellent stability at an elevated temperature with reduced reactivity on its surface and is suitable for a jig for ceramic sintering, and to provide a method for producing nitride ceramic parts that can inhibit the deformation volatilization on the firing of the nitride ceramics and can prevent the deformation in the firing.;SOLUTION: A boron nitride sintered body including ≤1.0 wt.% of free carbon content is heat-treated in an atmosphere over 1,700°C for ≥1 hour to form a boron nitride layer on the sintered body surface and the product is used as a jig for ceramic sintering. This is used as a jig for firing ceramics. The jig 7 for ceramic sintering made of the boron nitride sintered body, which has a boron nitride layer is arranged at least at a face where is brought into contact with a part of a ceramic formed body 5 essentially consisting of nitride- based ceramic powder in a process of sintering. As a result, the deformation of the ceramic sintered body 5 in the process of sintering is corrected due to the contact with the jig 7 covering the process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
