PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container housing device, in which a container is positioned with a plurality of attitudes, and also by which the information of an information member provided in the container is satisfactorily acquired in a non-contact system.;SOLUTION: The container housing device includes the container 20, inside of which a contained object is contained; the information member 22 which is attached to the container and in which the information is stored; a contained object containing mechanism in which the container is contained and which communicates therewith so as to convey the contained object; and an information receiving device 100, which is installed in the container housing device and reads the information of the information member in a non-contact state. The container is positioned in the plurality of attitudes relative to the contained object containing mechanism.
