PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of working a workpiece into a required thickness by a simple structure without adjusting an interval between both machining tools.;SOLUTION: The machine tool includes a main shaft 3 rotating around a Z-axis extending horizontally, a tool rest 5 placed to be movable in the Z-axis direction and an X-axis direction orthogonal to the Z-axis and rotatable around a B-axis orthogonal to a plane containing the X- and Z-axes, tools 9 and 10 having a pair of chips 9a and 10a provided at a predetermined interval and mounted on a tool main shaft of the tool rest 5, and a tool rest control part for adjusting a rotation angle θ1 of the tool rest so that an angle α formed by a line E connecting between the pair of chips and the Z-axis is an angle corresponding to a finished thickness t of the workpiece W.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
