PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reliably extracting a gradual phase for precisely carrying out precise extraction of a gradual phase even from nystagmus data when rotation stimulation is not given. PSOLUTION: This method is for reliably extracting the gradual phase by applying fuzzy theory in nystagmus data, and the method has: a step of calculating difference data between the n-th (n is an integer of 2) piece of nystagmus data and (n-1)-th piece of nystagmus data; a step of deciding a membership value based on the absolute value of the difference data; and a step of extracting the gradual phase by comparing the membership value with a prescribed threshold.
