PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniature motor in which the rotational precision of a rotor is enhanced, while employing a fluid bearing, and to provide a recording medium driver employing it, and to provide a process for manufacturing a miniature motor.;SOLUTION: The miniature motor 1 comprises a base plate 2, a core 3 bonded to the base plate 2, a fluid bearing 4 provided in the base plate 2, and a rotor 5 supported by the base plate 2 through the fluid bearing 4. The core 3 comprises an annular yoke 11, and a stator coil 12, provided on the radial inside or outside of a yoke 11.
