PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for supporting the selection of a building structure, enabling objective evaluation on the cost effectiveness of an earthquake-resistant investment in regard to each structural type when there are a plurality of options as the structural type.;SOLUTION: The building evaluation system 1 evaluates earthquake risks in regard to a plurality of structural type plans of selection objects, and the structural type (hereafter referred to as standard structural type) to be a standard for comparison when evaluating each structural type plan. In the above system, internal return rates are calculated for the above structural type plans and the standard structural type.
