PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treating apparatus in which water supply suitable for crushing treatment can be automatically performed.;SOLUTION: A crushing unit 4 attached to a hopper 3 freely attachably/detachably is equipped with a feed port 10 connected with a pipe 9. The feed port 10 is formed at a position facing a handle 21d provided at the crushing unit 4. A part of water emitted from the feed port 10 during crushing treatment comes into collision with the handle 21d and is diffused and fed to the whole in the crushing unit 4.
