PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic protection method that can obtain an electrostatic protection function for an electronic product without adding an electrostatic protection circuit and other elements, and to provide a structure for an electronic product.;SOLUTION: The electrostatic protection structure for an electronic product is applied to an electronic product that has an electronic component 12 provided therein and prevents the electronic component 12 from being damaged by electrostatic discharge. At a portion of a housing 10 of the electronic product that corresponds to the electronic component, a through-hole 11 that communicates with the outside is provided. The length and shape of the through-hole 11 is determined based on the length of an arc 200 generated by electrostatic discharge.
