PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target detecting nanosensor for detecting a target substance simply, rapidly and visually using a self-organizing molecule. PSOLUTION: The target detecting nanosensor is constituted by forming the monomolecular film of a self-organizing molecule on a substrate patternwise and characterized in that the self-organizing molecule is composed of a sensing region and in that the stabilizing region arranged to the substrate and a monomolecular film pattern is changed when the self-organizing molecule captures the target substance by its sensing region. The self-organizing molecule is a compound represented by the general formula (1) [wherein T is the sensing region; the other part is the stabilizing region arranged to the substrate; RSB1/SBand RSB2/SBare each a 8-30C alkoxy group or an alkyl group; m and n are each 1 or an integer of 2 or above; and T is A-B-A (A is a connection group having an alkylene bond and B is a bipyridyl group) or an oxygen-containing heterocyclic group represented by the general formula (2) (wherein k is 1 or an integer of 2 or above)].
