PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin composition for a skived film capable of giving a skived film of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene which has an excellent abrasion resistance and uniform quality such as transparency and to provide a thick-walled molded article for a skived film and a method of manufacturing a skived film of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene.;SOLUTION: The ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin composition for a skived film contains an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene having an inherent viscosity [η]of 5.0-35 dl/g determined in decalin at 135°C and an organic peroxide. A thick-walled molded article for a skived film obtained by press-forming the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin composition, a method of manufacturing a skived film of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene in which a film is manufactured by skiving a thick-walled molded article of an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin obtained by forming an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin composition containing an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene and an organic peroxide, and a skived film obtained by the method are also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
