PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a filter paper for a high temperature air filter having high strength and hardly causing the variation of capturing efficiency and capable of stably being used over a long period of time even at a high temperature over 400°C, with respect to the filter paper for the air filter manufactured by wet type paper making method using no binder.;SOLUTION: The filter paper for the high temperature air filter consists essentially of an extra fine silica fiber and contains a glass long filament in proportion of 5-30 wt.%. The filter paper for the high temperature air filter is manufactured by subjecting the extra fine silica fiber and the glass long filament to wet type paper making by using the paper making water of pH 2.5-4.5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
