PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide filter paper for air purification filters which has the dust removing function of a filter paper (HEPA) for high performance of air purification, a method for producing such filter paper, and an air purification filter made of such filter paper. ;SOLUTION: Damp paper is produced by a wet paper manufacturing method from an aqueous suspension containing 100 pts.wt. of a glass fiber with not shorter than 0.3 m and shorter than 2.0 m average fiber diameter and 5-40 pts.wt. of an activated carbon fiber with 500-1,300 m2/g specific surface area, not shorter than 5 m and shorter than 15 m fiber diameter, and 1-20 mm fiber length, 1-7 pts.wt. of an adhesive is deposited on the damp paper, and then the resultant damp paper is dried to give filter paper for air purification filters.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
