The filter has a paper clutch (12) utilized as a filter medium for filtering an atomized spray. Filter bags i.e. paper clutch filter bags, are formed from the paper clutch by sewing, adhering and clamping. A stabilization layer i.e. plastic or metal grid, and fleece (16) are provided in addition to the paper clutch. Bag openings are held in a form by a frame, which is utilized as a structural element. The stabilization layer is provided on an outer side or an inner side of the bag and utilized for geometrical stability of the filter bags. An independent claim is also included for a method for designing a filter.
