PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysulfone based hollow yarn membrane which is excellent in safety and functional stability, is excellent in module construction, and is suitable for a blood purification device with high water permeability used for chronic nephropathy.;SOLUTION: The polysulfone based permselective hollow yarn membrane is so constituted that, in the polysulfone based hollow yarn membrane including a hydrophilic high polymer, an amount of elution of the hydrophilic high polymer from the hollow yarn membrane is 10 ppm or less, an existence ratio of the hydrophilic high polymer at the outermost layer of the blood contacting side surface of the hollow yarn membrane is 20-40 mass%, an existence ratio of the hydrophilic high polymer at a surface neighboring layer of the blood contacting side surface of the hollow yarn membrane is 5-20 mass%, and an existence ratio of the hydrophilic high polymer at the outermost layer of the opposite surface of the blood contacting side surface of the hollow yarn membrane is 25-50 mass% which is 1.1 times or more of an existence ratio of the hydrophilic high polymer at the outermost layer of an inner surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
