PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of preventing breakage of parts, reducing noise caused when driving, and improving reliability of the device without increasing the number of parts.;SOLUTION: Positions of chipped teeth are provided in the direction in which a chipped tooth gear 204 with a lever and a chipped tooth gear 203 face for each other when the chipped tooth gear 203 reaches a rotation end position while these chipped tooth gears 204, 203 are mutually and normally meshed. A sheet regulation member 115 moves to a regulation position while the chipped tooth gear 203 is rotated toward the rotation end position by the chipped tooth gear 204 with the lever while the chipped tooth gear 203 is normally meshed with the chipped tooth gear 204 with the lever when a main motor is driven in the direction of reverse rotation. The sheet regulation member 115 moves to an evacuation position while the chipped tooth gear 203 is rotated toward a rotation start position by a torsion spring 202 while the chipped tooth gear 203 is normally meshed with the chipped tooth gear 204 with the lever when the main motor is driven in the direction of forward rotation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
