PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variations of an injection amount injected by an injector used for a cylindrical direct injection engine, etc.;SOLUTION: Since variations of a fuel injection amount injected by an injector relatively increase when the injection amount is small, the injector can be regulated by selecting a minimum injection amount qmin as an injector regulation point. More specifically, instead of regulating the injector by an injection amount larger than a minimum amount qmin, it is possible to reduce variations relatively by regulating the injector by means of the minimum fuel injection amount qmin which is injected by the injector during operation of the fuel injection system.
