PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently detecting multiple different objects in an input image.;SOLUTION: The histogram of a featured value calculated for each of a plurality of sample images expressing a predetermined object is used as a reference for partial images segmented at different positions on an input image, and a plurality of weak discriminators each evaluating whether or not an object image is an image showing a predetermined object are used to determine whether or not the partial image is the predetermined object for detecting a detection object in the input image. The histogram is multi-dimensionally extended, and the reference of the evaluation of the weak discriminators is defined as a multi-dimensional histogram h(x) obtained by expressing histograms W1, W2 and W3 for the plurality of different objects with vectors.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
