In the permanent way, thermal being induced stress is the both primary factor of rail break and rail buckling. As for this stress there is a longitudinal direction. Non destructive measurement technology, residual stress in the rail, therefore, it makes that thermal being induced stress is decided possible. The electromagnetics probe is used in order to measure the stress in the rail web in the longitudinal axis and vertical direction and parallel direction. Residual stress of longitudinal direction, it is possible, therefore, to decrease from the stress which was measured with vertical direction it is possible to decide thermal being induced stress.
