PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly increase an amount of information that can be represented with a two-dimensional barcode.;SOLUTION: An image generating device comprises a blocking device 503 for dividing digital information into blocks, an arrangement address generator 510 for arranging the data value of each block at each element of a two-dimensional matrix, a color signal generator 504 for converting the each element of the two-dimensional matrix into color corresponding to data and forming an image to be printed from the two-dimensional matrix, and a printer 508 that can print the image by using a plurality of color materials, and the image generating device arranges preliminarily prescribed values at a plurality of prescribed element positions existing in the two-dimensional matrix.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
