PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a build-up welding material using Fe group alloy, a material that has high-temperature wear resistance nearly comparable to the conventional build-up welding material for hot-forged metallic die by Ni or Co group alloy and that also has great improvement in machinability.;SOLUTION: The build-up welding material for hot-forged metallic die is characterized in that it uses as an overlay material containing by mass% 0.30-0.55% C, 0.2-1.5% Si, 0.4-2.0% Mn, 4.0-9.0% Cr, 0.1-1.0% V, 2.0-5.0% Mo, 2.0-11.0% W, 0.3-2.0% Ni, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities and that, as necessary, it uses as an underlay material containing by mass% one or two kinds or more among 0.05-0.25% C, 0.1-1.0% Si, 0.2-2.0% Mn, 0.6-3.5% Cr, 0.1-0.5% V, 0.2-2.0% Mo, 0.2-4.0% W, 0.3-3.0% Ni, with the condition of V+Mo+W≥0.3%, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
