PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for site-specifically binding an extraneous molecule to a peptide or protein using transglutaminase (TGase). PSOLUTION: In the method, the peptide or protein has a lysine (Lys) residue recognizable by TGase or a primary amine, and the extraneous molecule is anionic (e.g. a nucleic acid) and has glutamine (Gln) residues recognizale by TGase. In a preferable embodiment, the TGase is a microorganismal origin, and the Gln residue (Q) recognizable by TGase exists as carbobenzoyl-L-glutamylglycine (Z-QG) and the glutamine (Gln) residue (K) recognizabele by TGase exists as MKHKGS.
