A BIOPESTICIDE FORMULATION FOR CONTROLLING INSECT PESTS AND FUNGAL PATHOGENS AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THERE OF

A biopesticide formulation for managing pests and pathogens in crops comprising of Phyllanthus emblica, Curcuma zedooria, Allum (phitkari), Allium Ceppa bulb, Allium Sativum Linn bulb, Calotropis procer, Fresh cow-dung extract, Lycopersicon esculantum, Ferula narthexboiss, Azadirachta indica, Ocimum canum and Cow urine, wherein, the fermented product, stock solution is obtained which is diluted with water wherein the stock solution is a crude mixture of liquid ingredients of the above mentioned materials. This was used preferably for lepidopteran pests and fungal pathogens. One percent of this crude formulation inhibited more than 70% of Rhizoctonia bataticola, around 50% of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and more than 85 % of Pythium aphanidermatum in 5 days. The EC50 value of the formulation against R. bataticola, S. sclerotiorum and P. aphanidermatum was 11,500, 9750 and 4250 ppm, respectively. The formulation gave promising results in the field in controlling tomato fruit borer giving good yield with zero input. An antifeedant character was observed in vitro as residual activity in treated insect larvae with normal feed.
