摘要

The present invention describes the importance of carbon nano tubes used in the working electrodes of quantum dot sensitized TiO2 thin film solar cells wherein CdS quantum dots have been incorporated into the nanocrystalline TiO2 thin films by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method by which CdS quantum dots occupy the void spaces of the working electrode (TiO2 nano crystals) . The shortcomings faced in transport of electrons through void spaces is overcome by this process by filling of the void spaces with CdS quantum dots which improves the movement of the electrons without any loss of efficiency inside the working electrodes . A solar cell with carbon nano tubes having more absorbing area decreases the electron recombination process in the working electrode surface and increases the efficiency.
