This invention relates to a Process of preparation of bacterial suspension which is useful for Biological Control of Tasar Silkworm Diseases comprising the steps of, (a) isolation and purification of Brevibacillus laterosporus R-39 from Terminalia arjuna leaf, which is potent antagonistic bacteria against the pathogenic microorganisms of tasar silkworm Antheraea mylitta D; (b) mass multiplication of purified leaf bacteria characterized in that the important parameters comprising of: Inoculum dose (104 cell/ml); growth temperature (35+2°C); pH of 6.8 to 7.2 for bacterial growth; Time 36-42 hrs for cell multiplication and harvesting; Bacterial growth medium consisting of Tryptone 10gm; yeast extract 5gm; sodium chloride 5g/litre of dislitted water, at pH 7.0; (c) harvesting of live bacterial mass; (d) its storage in ampules with the critical concentration of bacterial suspension 108-109 cells/ml; (e) concentration of bacteria for foliar spray, wherein critical concentration is of 105-106 cells/ml, using soil water suspension as carrier.
