PROCESS FOR MULTIPLYING AT INDUSTRIAL SCALE THE PORCINE CIRCOVIRUS TYPE 2, REGIONAL STRAIN, IN AFRICAN GREEN MONKEY KIDNEY CELLS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF AN INACTIVATED VACCINE AGAINST PORCINE CIRCOVIRUS.
Described is a process for multiplying at industrial scale the Porcine Circovirus type 2, regional strain, in African green monkey kidney cells for the manufacture of an inactivated vaccine against Porcine Circovirus Type 2, based on a tray battery for culturing cells or a wave motion system. The process basically consists in multiplying the cellular line VERO performing 5 consecutive steps for reaching the required cellular density, the infection of the VERO cells with the PCV2 virus with 0.01 of DICC 50% of the working cell, the incubation at 37°C, the harvest of the viral fluid at 48h and 72h, the inactivation of the viral fluid with ß-propiolactone, hydrolysis and the formulation.
