The invention relates to a process for the dispersion of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) in water by wrapping with single-stranded DNA, consisting in the ultrasound treatment of carbon nanotubes with DNA solution on ice bath, centrifugation, decantation, filtration of the solution and determination of the concentration, there resulting nanotubes in the form of water-concentrated dispersions, compatible with the biological media, so as to make possible the exact testing of the cytotoxicity, both in vitro and in vivo, the nanotubes preserving their conductive properties.
