METHOD FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF CEREBRAL IMPAIRMENTS IN PATIENTS WITH ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION

A method for the early diagnosis of the cerebral impairments in the patients with the essential hypertension comprises the repeated measurements of the arterial blood pressure thrice in various days within four-week period and the use of neuropsychological test. When the systolic arterial pressure is increased at least to Hg and diastolic arterial pressure is increased at least to Hg, in each procedure of pressure measurement the patient is provided with three subtests (copying, immediate and delayed reproduction) of the test "Complex figure of Rey-Osteritz". The average values of the results obtained in subtests is calculated as the sum of the scores obtained in subtests of copying, immediate and delayed reproduction divided by three. When the average value is lower than 33.0, the cerebral dysfunction in the patients with the essential hypertension is diagnosed.
