A method for acoustic diagnostics of pneumonia in the children provides for multichannel synchronous electronic record of the breathing sounds followed by their computer processing. In quiet breathing, in the instantaneous spectrum of the respiratory sounds the increase in the frequency band not less than 22 % in breathing-in and 83 % in breathing-out is detected, and at the end of each breathing-in phase a set of high intensity of broadband pulse spectral component of 90-1100Hz is revealed. The complex of such artifacts suggests the pneumonia in the child with 95 % probability.
