TECHNIQUE FOR CORRECTING FINGER DEFORMITY OF BUTTONHOLE TYPE

A technique for correcting the deformity of the finger of buttonhole type comprises synovectomy, the restoration of extensor apparatus by mobilizing the lateral bundles of the extensor tendon, their transfer to the back surface of the proximal interphalangeal joint and fixation. In addition, the central bundle of the tendon is substituted by autodermal graft. For fixation, the lateral bundles of the tendon are wrapped with the lateral edges of the autodermal graft following its mechanical expansion.
