Flexor digitorum superficialis tenodesis for treatment of flexible swan neck deformity of fingers. Comparison between two surgical techniques to fix the tendon: A pilot study

The flexor digitorum superficialis tenodesis procedure, as described by Curtis, to correct swan neck deformity (SND) of the finger, has been described differently regarding the fixation of the proximal slip of flexor tendon. Littler2 described the superficialis tenodesis (ST) through a tunnel in the bone. Milford3 described the "sublimis tenodesis" technique, fixing the tendon to local soft tissues (A2 pulley). Other authors have suggested to attach the proximal slip of the tendon directly into the bone using an anchor.
