A method for predicting of intrauterine fetal development at different stages of pregnancy in women by means of clinical and laboratory blood tests for women of risk group. At clinical and laboratory blood tests the content of trace elements is determined, namely, zinc, iron and lead in the blood serum of pregnant women. The method of atomic absorption mass-spectrophotometry is used, where for each element corresponding wavelength is emitted by transmission with a light source of atomic vapor layer in the state to which the test sample transferd under the action of flame atomizer. The process of transition of the unexcited atoms of the basic level to higher excited levels is fixed by means of a monochromator and is transferred to a photodetector. The resulting electrosignal is registered and the result is displayed on the display. The statistical analysis of results is carried out by analysis method of variation statistics, followed by prediction of intrauterine growth retardation of the fetus by regression analysis. The algorithm step by step inclusion of covariates is used, where prognostic sign is diagnosed regarding the content of zinc, iron and lead in the blood serum of mothers. The value of the dependent variable is estimated using the regression equation with these prognostic sign and by the result, which is derived from the difference between the actual value of the dependent variable from those predicted one, the possibility of fetal development is determined.
