The invention relates to food industry and can be used at making dough pieces of ring shape, namely cracknels, in breadmaking or confectionery. The aim of the invention is in increasing accuracy and size uniformity of dough piece of ring shape and thereby to increase quality of dough pieces of ring shape and to reduce energy consumption at baking thereof by means of improving the method for forming dough piece of ring shape using a machine for forming dough pieces of ring shape. Said method is not complicated in implementation and at the same time allows to increase by 25-30 % accuracy and shape uniformity of the dough pieces of ring shape that undoubtedly improves quality thereof and reduces energy consumption at baking thereof.
