Using compounds 2-cyclopentenone structure for inhibiting enzymes in the family of aldo-keto reductases.; The present invention relates to the use of a series of compounds having a core of 2-cyclopentenone substituted alkyl chains and alkenyl that have proven aldo-keto inhibitors enzymes re- ductasas (AKR), more particularly of AKR1B1 and AKR1B10. Therefore, the compounds of the present invention are useful for treating diseases or pathological conditions in which these enzymes are implicated.
