A holder, guide, or jig for sharpening tools is disclosed, in which the jigholds andorients a tool to be sharpened to properly align the tool on or againstabrasive wheels,discs, or sharpening stones, thereby creating a fine, square, beveled edge onthe tool, at apredetermined and accurately reproducible angle. Tools can be grounds withidenticalgrinds on both sides of the tool when required.
