The present invention relates to a cyclic Pd nanostructure and to a Pd nanostructure catalyst for water photolysis. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cyclic Pd nanostructure, wherein a cyclic Pd nanostructure is obtained through reassembling cubic Pd nanoparticles by controlling the pH within a range of 6 to 10, and to a Pd nanostructure catalyst for water photolysis. The above-described present invention is highly effective in various applications such as a water purification catalyst for water photolysis due to the unique characteristics of the cyclic Pd nanostructure such as high energy, large surface area, chemically adjustable physical properties, and high structural stability. In addition, since the nanostructure can be simply formed under low-energy conditions at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, it is possible to manufacture a mass-producible high-purity ultra-precision Pd nanostructure.
