CONVERTER DEVICE FOR CONVERTING BIOMASS INTO HYDROCARBON COMPOUNDS, METHOD FOR AT LEAST PARTIALLY CONVERTING BIOMASS INTO HYDROCARBON COMPOUNDS, USEFUL GAS, AND SOLIDS
Over the past decades, attempts have increased to convert renewable biomass or organic waste into useful forms of energy by suitable methods. Preferable methods are generating syngas and CO and CO2 at temperatures of no greater than 750°C and subsequently converting said gases into hydrocarbons (KW) by means of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). All of said methods for generating syngas require using fossil fuels and are thereby limited in temperature range. Because CO and CO2 are not useful, and additional energy is consumed in the generating thereof, said process is endothermic. Disadvantages of the prior art are eliminated by a method for at least partially converting biomass into hydrocarbon compounds, wherein the method comprises the following steps: adding a hydrogen compound to the biomass; joint heating of the biomass and the hydrogen compound to over 1300°C. By means of a simulation, said method recreates natural conditions present for producing hydrocarbons from biomass in geological timeframes and processes.
