A physical-quantity calculating method, for calculating physical-quantity in a numerical-analysis method for analyzing physical phenomena numerically, is characterized in comprising a physical-quantity calculating process, wherein physical-quantity in an analysis area, which is divided into multiple divided areas, is calculated. The physical-quantity calculating method is also characterized in calculating the aforementioned physical-quantity, in the physical-quantity calculating process, using: a discretized dominant equation that only uses quantity that does not require vertexes of the aforementioned divided areas or connectivity of the vertexes, and that was derived based on a weighted residual-integration method; and a calculation data model that has interface-characteristics quantity, which indicates the characteristics of the interface between each of the aforementioned divided volumes, and between the aforementioned adjacent divided areas, as quantity that does not require the vertexes of the aforementioned divided areas, or connectivity of the vertexes.
